Since the sound from this Vizio TV is bad I am attempting to connect a Toshiba TY-WSB600 sound bar to upgrade the audio, but I am having a problem making it work.
I want to use HDMI ARC to allow the sound to be controlled by the TV remote (I have the on/off and volume set up on the Bolt remote), so I have connected a HDMI cable to HDMI 1 on the Vizio and to the sound bar HDMI. The best info that I have found says that this Vizio TV uses HDMI 1 for ARC. i have selected ARC ONLY in the Vizio System menu and it verified that it found the Toshiba sound bar. Then I have selected HDMI ARC on the sound bar but do not get any audio. I have selected PCM audio on the Vizio as noted in the sound bar instructions and have tried both PCM and Dolby D on the Bolt but still no sound.
Am I doing this right or should I change something?
