Lost my remote control, the standard Tivo remote does not work. Has anybody had success with a generic remote or source for replacement?

The Harmony remotes work fine with it. Also remotes for the SD-H400 can often be found on ebay.

They use primarily a Toshiba DVD code, with some added TiVo keys, rather thant the Peanut code mos t TiVos use.

i also have the sd-h400 and my remote has stopped functioning. are the remotes not replaceable? would a universal remote learn my tivos functions without a working remote to learn from? and i hate to ask, but what is "the harmony" and where do i get one? any other suggestions? seems every issue i solve lately leads to another. i would really like to resolve the remote issue asap, thanks for your help in advance.

Try a one-for-all universal, like the urc-6131n with help of advanced codes. Which are 3 digit codes for individual functions. see this thread in the archives
