There HAD to be some pre-show restaurant recon done by Top Chef producers, right? There have to be insurance issues galore in allowing some random person to cook in your kitchen, and I was stunned that they all readily agreed when asked.
Oh yeah for sure. Probably gave them a list of places along with any other dos and don't for the task. There HAD to be some pre-show restaurant recon done by Top Chef producers, right? Not a chance. The Drama Magnet will be back.Does anyone think Grayson has a chance? Bev making it back just seems like too much of a good storyline to not happen, even thought I'd like to see Grayson back in the show.
+1.I'm still not completely sure why Grayson was sent home. Ed had undercooked chicken and Sarah eggs weren't seasoned. Was she really sent home for having tomatoes and a big piece of chicken?
The problem with Graysons dish three-fold. First: the flavors didnt meld so well. Second: Her portions were massive. Third: she made a specific claim that she purposefully took the skin off her chicken to make it healthy. But at the same time she stuffed her chicken with egg yolk and gorgonzola cheese and drizzled it with bacon vinaigrette! So, for us, it was a real discrepancy in her conception of this dish. I would have much preferred to eat the fat of the skin than bacon, gorgonzola, and egg yolk.
Thats not to say that everyone elses was perfect and hers was terrible. It still was a good dish, and I guarantee that if she had made this exact dish five episodes ago, she would never have gone home for it.
Lol thats true. I remember that huge steak from an earlier comp. Whatever restaurant she heads you'll be taking extra home.I made a comment to my wife that Greyson just can't help herself from making "mid-west" sized portions. Every dish she made could feed 3 people!
