Hi all - 2 issues I haven't been able to figure out (tried some other tips from older threads)

1. Roamio Plus with cable card; have about 20 active one passes and of those, maybe 5 consistently mark tons of old reruns as NEW and record them. The dates are old - Feb, March, etc. For example - Law and Order 5pm 6pm 7pm and the actual new one at 8pm. Other onepasses are ok. Did the guided setup 3 times. No change. (All was fine until about 3 weeks ago, this happened on both rented and now owned equipment.)

2. Voice remote paired to a Hisense TV works fine except when the TV has been off for a while - Tivo remote will not turn it on (no red light on tv when button pressed.) I have to turn it on with the TV remote, then at that point the Tivo power button is fine and will turn on/off/on off etc with no problem. Tried every code I can find online for that brand. Got a bt adapter so when that arrives will try seeing if anything changes using RF, but this just seems weird.

Thanks!

If you don't want it to record the old seasons, just set in the pass options to start with the current season, if the 5th season is current, set it to the 5th.

They are all the same (current) season - but all are already on it. Only repeats of the current season record, but tons of old have the "new" logo. They are all set to current season only, shows only (no streaming), one channel only - checked all individual settings as well as the default setting :( Still happens.

Could I be missing another setting?

That is all there is. With a season to start with, it will not record older seasons or shows with no data.

The shows are current season, just not new. I looked and they all have dates - the four up today have dates from end of Feb and March and all have the new logo.

Before, only the one show per week that had that days date recorded. Now I have episode 7, 8, 9 and the new one 10 all being recorded same day.

I thought new meant "this is the first time this exact show is aired based on it's date being today." How can four shows each with different dates, 3 in the past, all be new at the same time?

Also, tons of other one passes with shows airing exactly like those don't record any others - just the actual one new one per week. So those seem to be going as expected

The "new" logo has no effect, it is meaningless when it comes whether the TiVo will record the show. Just to expand on a post above, when a TiVo is new in your system, even though you set it to record new only, it will record some previous shows. I guess this is sort of a fail safe feature for new users who may have missed some recent episodes. Just bear with it for a while and this problem will go away.

Ahh - ok this is good to hear! As long as it corrects itself eventually that's ok, I just didn't know if anything weird happened or I was going to be stuck deleting 504985 episodes of Law and Order forever :) Thanks!
