is there a way to view your tivo's "to do list" online?

Sorry, no.

(Or maybe you can hack the box to allow this? I'm not sure. But the answer is definitely no for an off-the-shelf box.)

Well, technically, you could just add a SlingBox and view your TiVo anywhere in the world that you have Net access.
