don't have my service active yet but have a question on TTG+ desktop.

can i DL the file from TiVo in a windows format and then remove commercials and then run it thru the TTG+ software to transcode(?) it for use on my Treo?

i quess on the same line can i remove the commercials and send it back to tivo?

Yuo download from the TiVo in its encrypted MPEG2 format.
IIRC, the Treo uses WMV, so you would use WMP to convert, rather than TiVoDesktop.

To remove commercials before conversion, you wouls use a 3rd party app such as Video Redo, then convert to the portable format.

since i am not fully active my tivo does not connect to the desttop.

note: this is an assumption on my part as to why it doesn't.

is there another way to connect or should it connect now regaurdless?

What do you mean 'not fully active'? The TiVo *MUST* have an active subscription to use TiVoToGo and talk to TiVo Desktop.
