Hi,
I haven't seen this issue anywhere else, so I thought I would post.

I have noticed, after using my new HD for about a week, that the first few seconds of playback of SD recordings does something strange. After playing normally for a second or two, the entire playback speeds up for a few seconds before returning to normal speed. It's almost as if I accidentally hit the fast forward button on the remote. During the speedup, the sound sometimes gets out of sync with the video. After this brief interval, everything is fine.

It doesn't seem to happen with HD recordings. It is fairly consistent with SD recordings.

Any ideas what's going on? Has anyone else seen this?

I've had mine slow down for a few seconds but never speed up.

It's not a big problem. Strikingly, it sails me through the credits on the Daily Show every night.
Just wish I could figure it out.
