I recently decided I wanted to start using an old Premiere and because I have no ethernet connections near the bedroom I want to set this up in, I discovered the only way to do a wireless connection to this older model is to use the TiVo Wireless N Adapter.

Does anyone have one of these they are no longer using and would like to keep it out of the landfill?

I would appreciate any donation if there is one of these old devices out there laying around.

You're better off with a wireless Ethernet adapter or bridge. Simple adapter that plugs into the ethernet port and connects to your router via wifi.

^^ I agree, use a regular wireless and not the TiVo-N. Software updates to my Premiere left my N adapter useless.

Jerome, I have some of these I no longer use so if you end up still wanting them I don't need them since I went from Premieres to Bolts.

But I would also listen to the advice here as there are a lot of super knowledgeable people and I am not one of them. Cheers!

Sounds like you will be able to get the N adapter. If it works ok for your purpose great (assuming you are just using to download guide data should be fine). If not the bridge, wireless ethernet adapter, or powerline adapters. With the powerline adapters no WiFi would be used at all, ethernet connectons on both ends.

thanks all for your replies. i was able to make contact with JandS and they kindly gave me their unused Wireless N Adapter. it's up and running and so far everything is good. thanks again JandS.

Great to hear--I wasn't sure why there was an antipathy to trying/using the TiVo Wireless N Adapter, if one's router is an N router as well (and not a faster AC specification router).

Nothing wrong with it, I've used one for a Premiere, not as good as powerline (in most cases) if going to be streaming/using apps.

The wireless N is the only Ethernet bridge I would never recommend. Low power and really bad user interface.
