I guess that would really add up for someone with multiple TiVos and an internet provider with bandwidth caps.
1.2BG is not a measure of bandwidth. It's a measure of usage. The absolute maximum a TiVo can utilize using the Ethernet port is 200 Mbps.So I caught my TiVo using 1.2GB of bandwidth this morning downloading something from Akamai.
It has to be a video.Any ideas what it would be downloading that's so large?
No, not by a long shot. The total active file system area on a stock TiVo, including both / and /var, is only 512 MB. The kernel is about 2M. My S3s are using a total of around 152M and the THD is using about 198M.Could a software upgrade be that large?
Depends on the network. The ones I've looked at were in HD. Although I wouldn't consider looking at any preview unless it was in HD anyway.Usually the previews aren't in HD.
Yes. It's called Teleworld paid program. Do a "search by title" on your Tivo to see when it airs.Do they still do the infomercial like they did back in the day with the Series 1?
