I knew about that page, but it sounds like they ripped them using line-in. The ones I have sound more clear.

I extracted the WAV files from @ggieseke's program - DvrBARS, which uses the sounds for its interface. I'm not sure how he got them (but I'd love to hear how!)

The android app has wav files for up/down, tivo central, select, page up, page down, bonk, and alert.

Sound effects? You mean everyone doesn't turn them off immediately?

(sarcastic, since I do know some don't, and have heard the noises used in TV shows etc.. but like I have computer audio turned off 99% of the time, I don't want things making noises at me. I get feedback via other means that my remote press worked)

They were copied from the OS partition on a Premiere as raw PCM files and converted to WAV files with Audacity.

What did you use to extract stuff from the OS partition? I've had a hard time trying to figure out how to do that (and how to mount it).

In the process of writing DvrBARS I wrote my own Ext2 interpreter, which is what I used. Now they use squashfs on Premieres so it doesn't work anymore.

I started getting bloop bloops recently although I am in dolby according to Tivo and my Yamaha receiver. Any ide why this would happen? I muted the sound effects then went back in and set them to low and I hear nothing now.

I've noticed the same. Just recently, over the last week or so, the tivo sound effects are back, but only on my mini Vox. I have a bolt Vox downstairs (both boxes are TE3) and I do not get the sound effects. Both boxes are hooked up directly to Sonos soundbars via optical digital cables and both are set to Dolby 5.1 on the tivo and show as Dolby digital 5.1 on the Sonos App. Nothing has changed on my end - meaning, no recent setting changes, no equipment changes, etc.
Personally, I like having the sound effects, but now I am worried that I am not getting 5.1 audio (it sounds like it is, but I am no expert. Its definitely not PCM Stereo).
I searched but do not see any other postings regarding a recent change. If this is now working on the mini, is it possible on the bolt?

Even with sound effects enabled, without a video window, you get sound effects. The video window can be toggled on/off with the Slow button. (Below Pause)

Please note that there are bugs in this area since day 1. I thought they were TE4 only.
