Tivo Service and Streaming

I seem to be having some troubles today with my Tivos. Two Premieres and one Series 2. I can't seem to connect to the Tivo Service. I keep getting 'Failed while configuring' and it won't show anything on the Discovery Bar. All of my other devices seem to be connecting just fine (PC, Mac, Roku, and PS3).

Is anyone else having this trouble?

Also, is streaming from Premiere to Premiere already turned on? Mine did not seem to be doing this before today and they don't seem to have the option for it today either. I seem to see a lot of people talking about it in the forums but not sure if it's a real feature that is on the boxes yet.

Hmmm, maybe the Tivo Network is just down. I just tried the Pandora app from my Premiere and it works.
There is no "option" for streaming. It's an unsupported feature that was mistakenly stumbled upon.

When you are on the program screen, instead of selecting "transfer this recording" just press the PLAY button.
Cool, thanks for that. Now, If I could just figure out why I can't get to the Tivo Service. :)
Did you try rebooting your switch or router? You may also want to check network diagnostics on the TiVo.

Yep, rebooted router and Tivo several times.
View Diagnostics:
Port configuration test: Succeeded
DNS resolution test: Succeeded

Testing Connection:
Preparing (Done)
Connecting (Could not get account status)

Then details show

Problem with the connection (N15)

says to go check tivo.com/errors/n15 ... so, I guess that I am to check there.

If you haven't gotten it solved by now, can you access your TiVo from the PC? Just enter the ip address of your TiVo in your browser and you should get a screen saying congrats if you can.

It could also be your IP address of your TiVo is off. I kept having connection issues till I assigned a static IP for the TiVo.
Thanks, I got it figured out... sort of. I added a new DSL modem and am tickering with the settings. I think the static IP idea is probably the way I need to go.
With DSL, make sure that the MTU size on your router is 1492 or lower.

Static IP is definitely the way to go.

You've got 3 TiVos, and, I'm assuming, one router.

Let's say the router is using 192.168.1.1

Set your oldest TiVo (go into the settings, phone and network, menu on the TiVo) to 192.168.1.101 and the address on the remote to 1.

Set the next oldest to 192.168.1.102 and the remote address to 2.

I leave the treatment of the 3rd TiVo as an exercise for the reader.:)

That way, each TiVo will always know what its IP address is, and won't have to rely on the router's DJCP always functioning perfectly.

(If you have none of those 3 TiVos in the same room with another one you can just leave the remote address at 0--it has nothing to do with networking or IP addresses, it's just a handy way to remember which is set to what)
