eCOST.com has the TiVo Series3 300-Hour HD Digital Media Recorder, model no. TCD648250B, for $501.48. With $14.39 for shipping, that's the lowest total no-rebate price we've seen for this top-of-the-line TiVo by $64. The TiVo Series3 DVR features up to 300 hours of recording (less in HD), dual tuners, THX-certification, remote programming through tivo.com, TiVo broadband features like digital photos and Internet radio, and compatibility with antenna, cable, digital cable, satellite TV, and combinations. Service activation is required ($12.95/mo.).

They need to change that to "Starting at $12.95". Good price though - I wonder if it will keep dropping now that the TiVoHD is out.
Doesn't the "B" in model number 648250B call out a refurb unit? I have had success with refurbs in the past but I wish there was a greater savings. Plus you can get a refurb from Tivo direct for $499.99 including shipping and a wireless adapter.

No.
Just in the past few days, CC lowered their price on the Series 3 Tivo DMR by $200...

Boxed up my Tivo HD an made a bee line for CC Sunday morning...

The A model was never released. Every S3 sold has been the B model.
I've been torn between the $499 refurb deal from the TiVo site (which throws in the wireless adapter) and new for $599 (+$50 for the adapter). Throw in the variable of no 3 year pre-pay option on the service for the refurb and my head is spinning.

Maybe this settles it...

I stand corrected!
