Very new to forum and no amount of searching answered this.
I'm currently with WaveBroadband, and have a Series 6 (Think that's the Bolt) and 3 minis, all working via ethernet, with an older HDTV.
I'm about to purchase a 4k television, and am trying to reconcile all the different source options and which will be best. I'm trying to stay away from the TV apps, as i can't use ARC (long story).... and since the Tivo has most of the apps i want, it would be great to just use it.
Few questions:
1. I see in the Main Tivo that via settings 4k options are there if i have a compatible TV. I don't' see a similar setting in the Minis... so if i have a 4k TV on one of those, will I only get HD, or will 4k automatically become available once the main Series 6 box is enabled?
2. What if i have a 4k TV on a mini and NOT one on the main Tivo?
3. How are the streaming apps for 4k as a source? does the Tivo do a decent job here, or should i look at another source like a Roku or Shield?
Thanks!
