TIVO Roamio plus Green and Yellow/Amber lights constantly on. Is this a clue to the issue?

From the second the machine is plugged in, both light instantly turn on and never go out.

I tried to do that kickstart force code and was waiting " . When you see the yellow/amber light begin to flash, wait a second and then press and hold the Pause button on the remote for two seconds, then release it."

However it never begins to flash, its just instantly solid on. I read on another website that the yellow light on solid means there is a " phone call is in progress.".

Maybe the network card is locked up or something. Is there a way to force a bios reset or something?

Any ideas from this new information?

Thanks.

Your hard drive probably failed. Check the forum for the recommended hard drive model to use and just replace the hard drive.

No hard drive is fine.

It boots up and lets watch the recorded shows. The malfunction comes when I try to connect to the Internet to record new shows.

I replace the hard drive with a brand new one and same problem still.

You could disconnect everything from your network including your router and just plug the main cable directly into the Tivo and see if the issue remains.
