Try unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in.
Tivo Roamio OTA Sound Problem
My wife is home and sent me a text while I was at work. The Tivo Roamio OTA lost sound. The Samsung TV that it is connected to has great sound when fed from the Amazon Fire TV box. What can I pass along to her to try?

I will pass it along to her. Thank you. It is frustrating when I get the text on my smartphone and can't full research on a computer with a full size screen.Try unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in.
It depends on what sound is lost. Tivo remote bleep/bloop? Put into standby, wait until black screen, wake with Tivo button. This will not stop anything that is still recording.... Unlike pulling the plug.
