Hiya. I have a Tivo series 1, which refuses to dial. I first assumed the modem had gone, and hooked up an external modem (yes, I followed all procedures for doing so), but the same thing - the Tivo just gets stuck on the "dialing" step, and refuses to actually send the phone number to the modem. I've tried everything I can find on the internet. Any ideas?

Tried a reboot? (Unplug the TiVo, let it sit for a minute, then plug it back in and let it get itself going again.)

Yes, I actually have to reboot every time I try to dial in (there's no other way to get it to stop), so I've rebooted a lot since the problem developed.
