Tivo Premiere, Tuning Adapater and Classic Slingbox

I have 2 of the original SB classics. I have used them for years with the SA Time Warner boxes, no issue at all.

I recently decided to get a couple of Premiers to replace Time Warner boxes. While they do work perfect with time warner and the tuning adapters, and are cheaper than the cable dvrs, I cannot get the classic slings to work with them.

I have tried with hdmi in/out and use composite out to slings. I have tried with component out to tvs and composite to slings and get no video.

Have tried splitting the coax out from the tuning adapter, into the premier and then into slings..no video

This is on 2 different tvs, Samsung and Sony..same issues..no video. I also posted this over on the Sling community and had a couple of responses and of course have already tried those suggestions.

Other than replace these with some of the new sling units...anything else anyone can think of? Yes, I have had them for years..shortly after they came out even and they still work great when I have something to output to them!

Thanks!

I have a SB Classic and an Premier XL, the only way I got it to work was NOT use HDMI. Tivo to the TV via Component and Sling via composite.
I have an Powered HDMI switch as well (tested with and without switch) if I turn off the switch with Tivo hooked up above I get video. Any time the switch or powered I get the "HDMI connection not permitted. Press Select for more information" Tivo message.
Are you using this with a tuning adapter and/or cable? I am pretty sure that the issue is with the signal from the tuning adapter for the SDV channels that is causing my problem.

If I split the signal before the adapter and run coax to the sling, it will work of course, but just with the lower tier of channels.

And yes, I have tried no hdmi and component and it will not work either way for me.

Has to be the tuning adapter causing this issue

The issue is with the HDMI not the tuning adapter. I would split the coax between the Tivo and TA. The Tivo does not need to have a coax connection from the TA only a USB connection. Also, the splitter in SA TAs are junk.

Look into a Slingbox PRO-HD. Connect the Tivo to the Slingbox via component cables and all will be good.
