Coming to the conclusion that my problem may be that I need two separate 3-wire connectors, amd only Coax should be from outside to cablebox.

1. From Tivo to cablebox
2. From Tivo to TV set

Yep, that makes sense. If you have a sound system in the picture, then the audio cables should go to that rather than the TV.

Yes, absolutely. Neither the cable box nor the TiVo will emit stereo audio over the RF.
