We are in the process of putting in a screen porch. It will be connected to the house and will have an outside TV.

We'd like to be able to connect to the inside Tivo Bolt. Right now we duplicate the Bolt signal to other TVs in the house with HDMI repeaters but the ones we use have gone EOL and I am looking at other options, especially wireless ones. I have an industrial-grade wifi setup and out on the screen porch I typically hit 400-500Mb/s with the wireless throughput.

I've seen Minis on eBay but I am pretty sure those are pretty limited in wifi options. The Lux looks to be a better choice for that use case. At this point does anyone have a feel for how well this unit does outdoors? We're in Austin, TX so heat is probably more of an issue than cold.

Interested in your thoughts.

I use a D-Link DAP-1610 to receive the wi-fi signal from the router. It has a 100 MB Ethernet port, which I use to connect an Ethernet cable to the A93 Mini. There are other, lower cost, wi-fi extenders available on the market. I'm running inside, not on my covered porch, but I have considered putting a TV out there. Does it get any hotter or more humid on your porch than it does in an non-air conditioned house? I'm sure there are plenty of non-air conditioned houses in Texas which have TVs and other electronics, I grew up in one in East Texas.
