Yesterday evening, I was unable to use my TiVo Mini because it could not connect to the TiVo Service. I am running software version 21.9.7v10-USH-11-A95, which has the latest user interface. When I would manually attempt to connect to the TiVo Service, the process would either fail in the Connecting or Getting Info stage of the process. I performed an Internet speed test and I was getting over 90 Mbps up and down and I watched a streaming service without issue, so I am confident that my home network and Internet connection were working properly.

What I don’t understand is why I could not view content on my host TiVo Bolt during this time. I could not see My Shows, nor view Live TV. It seems to me that if my home network is functioning properly that I should be able to watch this content, regardless of the status of the connection to the TiVo Service. Approximately seven hours after this issue occurred, the TiVo Service Connection was completed and everything was functioning properly.

Anyone have any insight into this matter and what course of action I should take? Thank you for your feedback.

The TiVo servers were down for a while last night. Everything is ok now. (Until next time. :))
Thanks. That was my thought, as well. My question, though, is why should a connection to the TiVo Service be required for the TiVo Mini to mirror content on the TiVo Bolt on my home network. Both devices are on a LAN, so where does the Internet come into the picture?
