TiVo Lux Remote RF mode with Experience 3 and Roamio Pro

I'm sorry, this is a similar thread to my previous one, but need to know before I order.
I'm running Experience 3 on my Roamio Pro. The main function I want to make sure works with the TiVo Lux backlit Remote is RF mode. I've heard rumors the Roamio must be running Experience 4? I'm hoping that is wrong? How about with the USB Dongle? I just want to make sure that somehow I can have RF mode with the Lux Remote and my Roamio Pro running Experience 3.

While can't answer the first part, there is no support for the dongle in TE3.

Also, I was never able to get my Roamio remote to pair in RF mode to Mini VOX in TE3. Others have.

My experience: Mini VOX, TE3, and RF Remote fails

Thanks, I guess for now I might stick with my Slide Remote Pro, which does have RF with my Roamio Pro and Experience 3. And, the Slide Remote Pro is backlit, but you need to push a button to light it. The features of the Lux remote (pick up to light, dedicated Skip button, and Netflix button) are nice features that I'm willing to pay for, but I can't sacrifice and lose RF.
