Posted this in the Roamio forum but not getting any traction there. Maybe a bit wider audience can help me determine if I need to buy a new remote as my original remote has lost all the letter/numbers on all the buttons (Wife and I can use the remote fine but new people have no clue what's going on).
Can a Tivo Lux Remote (w/ dongle) be RF/Bluetooth paired with a Roamio Plus running TE3?
I have a Tivo Roamio Plus (obv) that was on TE4 and the Lux remote was Bluetooth paired with the Roamio. Worked fine. I just downgraded to TE3 and I'm trying to pair the remote but it doesn't seem to pair. I've tried resetting everything (clearing out all pairings) but not making any progress. The Lux remote blinks amber while on the pairing screen but never pairs and reverts to IR. Is the problem that the Lux remote, while using the dongle, can't be Bluetooth paired to a Roamio Plus running TE3?
