Huh? That's a little confusing. I have a Tivo HD since the day I installed the M-Card I've been able to record two channels at onces regardless if they're analog or digital.classicsat said:Yes, provided that no cablecards, one M-card (TiVoHD only, for now), or two S-cards are installed.
I think what was meant was that only the TivoHD supports the M-Card for now.Thunderclap said:Huh? That's a little confusing. I have a Tivo HD since the day I installed the M-Card I've been able to record two channels at onces regardless if they're analog or digital.

no, classicsat meant exactly what he said:Okeemike said:I think what was meant was that only the TivoHD supports the M-Card for now.
The S3 is stuck with supporting only S-Cards (for now). If you use a M-Card in an S3, it will work in single stream mode.
Is that not a contridiction? It will record Two Channels if No Cablecards or Both Cable Cards are installed?alansplace said:no, classicsat meant exactly what he said:
either model of s3 will record two channels simultaneously if:
1. no cablecards are installed
or
3. two S-cards are installed

No, it isn't a contradiction. My Tivo HD does not have any cable cards installed, and it records two channels at once from the analog cable signal, and it does a great job at that.wolflord11 said:Is that not a contridiction? (I removed the M Card as that works with the TivoHD but not the Series 3)
