I am going to upgrade to the new Tivo HD using the lifetime transfer deal. I'm not quite sure what order to do things in. I need to get the Tivo, contact Comcast about the cards, & contact Tivo to update to the new HD.
I would like to try to get the unit from CC or Costco. So, I'm not sure if customer service is going to get me transfer the lifetime service. Then, I'm not sure if there is going to be a problem with Comcast.
Should I buy the unit, activate the transfer, and then contact Comcast?
What if I have problems with Comcast and can't use the new Tivo...do I lose my lifetime service on my old machine?
What order would you use to make sure that everything works out?
