I was wondering if Tivo has any issues with sports packages like NHL Center Ice in terms of recording. Not sure why it would but want to be sure. Also, did anyone have NHL Center Ice last season, and if so, was the HD selection sufficient? If it was around a game per night and Tivo HD will suport it, I will call up Comcast today to set up a cable card install and pick up the Tivo HD today!

Be sure to check if indeed the HD broadcasts will be actually available in HD.

I can't speak for Comcast, but I had center ice last season (and will this season) with Time Warner Austin, and it was all in SD only (even though I could see that some games were supposed to be available in HD).

Plus, the in-demand sports channels here are all on SDV, so not available to the Tivo, but I don't think Comcast does SDV.

Thanks, that was my frear. If it is not in HD, then it is worthless IMHO, and that pesky SDV keeps popping up to scare me.

To answer the first question, no it shouldn't be a problem. The subscription sports channels are authorized like premium channels.

As for the HD question, it varies widely - check with your cable company.
