Ok, I think my beloved HD Tivo is starting to bite the dust. It takes forever to respond to commands from the remote, and then when it does, it freezes and reboots. Is this a sign of a failing hard drive? Because I'd like to just put in a new drive if so.

Try the Clear Program Settings option (not the Everything one). Then if that doesn't help (providing it completes) do the Clear and Delete Everything option. If that doesn't complete, then replace the hard drive.

Can't do the clear and delete everything because it will require me to phone in, and I have no home phone number.
