I bought my dad a TIVO a few years ago. Today he mentioned that when he plugs it in it goes "crazy". There are lines on the screen and the lights on the box blink. he unplugs it when they have thunderstorms in Houston.
This is sounding a lot like a hardware problem to me. I'm curious as to if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this. A few searches on the forum didn't turn up anything.
It will need to be serviced. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
