Is there a TiVo Experience 1 and 2? I think TiVo refers to TE3 and TE4, but never refers to TE1 or TE2.

My theory:

• TE1 - TiVo Series 1 and early Series 2 interface
• TE2 - Later TiVo Series 2, Series 3, and early Premiere interface
• TE3 - Later TiVo Premiere, Roamio, and Bolt interface
• TE4 - Hydra interface. Later Bolt and Edge interface

Sorry if this is poorly written, I'm having trouble wording this at the time of typing.

TE4 also applies to Roamios, and the Minis. Optional on the older TiVo devices, starts to be mandatory Bolt OTA and later.

If you do enough forum spelunking, you'll find a post from about the time TE4 came out, where a Tivo employee spoke about the history of the first two UI's, their internal nicknames, when they got retroactively dubbed TE1 and TE2, their relationship to the launch of the first HD interface, etc....

I of course do not remember the details (I wish I did, it was kinda interesting), but they're in here, somewhere... (And they're 'recent', meaning not the archives, they're here somewhere)
