I have TCD746320 units one has lifetime sub and a bad HD other not in service with good HD can I just Swap drives and rerun setup

If the 'not in service' unit hasn't been updated, the old OS won't work.

There's resources around here where you can get an updated OS.

You would also need to run Clear & Delete Everything.

Far too old. What size is the drive? 1TB drives are cheap, a new Red Pro is what I'd recommend instead of pulling an old drive. One of the guys here can get you an image. Post a request in the 746320 image thread Need a TCD746320 Image | TiVoCommunity Forum

That should be a WD Red Plus. Pro line are 7200+ RPM drives.
