If you have no experience I recommend you go to www.DVRupgrade.com and purchase Instantcake for your machine. It is extremely easy and if you want to get in deeper you order PTVnet and enable FTP, telenet and networking.

If you have Linux experience and you are using a good TiVo drive you may want to try www.MFSlive.org here you must have a good Tivo image to start with while Instantcake will provide you with the image. Thats as much as I can tell you with the limited information you disclosed.

Dvrupgrade is not a blog it is a forum like this one only they also sell products that have known to use MFSlive.org tools at some times. If you have any questions I suggest you talk to Lou.
