Tivo Desktop on my Mac not running

901 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  mhurley
I've had Tivo Desktop running previously on my intel MacMini...I stream my music up to my TV. For some reason, a month ago, it stopped working. So I went an downloaded the new version 1.9.3 and installed the .pkg, and it appears to have completed successfully.

And then nothing happens.

Tivo Desktop doesn't run...I have no application in my Application folder, on my desktop nor on my Dock. I can't seem to find a way to start the application.

Thanks for any help.

TiVo Desktop for Mac is in System Preferences.

If you use the built-in firewall, you may want to ensure that the installer opened the ports correctly. There should be a new item, "TiVo Desktop," at the bottom of the list. (System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall)
Ok....Cool. Found that and checked it off.

But don't I still have to configure the sharing and such through some GUI? I swear I remember entering my Media Access Key on my Mac..I could be crazy though.
Disregard! Found the application in System Preferences --> Other.

Thanks!
