My TiVo Desktop stopped working. I'm trying to download movies from my TiVo Premier to my PC. When I click on the Desktop Icon I receive the following message; Windows cannot find C:\Program files (x86)\TiVo\Desktop\TiVoDesktop.exe I've called TiVo Technical Support and they say that TiVo Desktop is no longer supported and there is no update or replacement.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop, but still get the same error message.

Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions on how to make the Desktop work or how to download movies from TiVo to a PC?

Try right clicking on the Desktop Icon or the TiVoDesktop.exe and select 'Run as administrator'.

I had Tivo Desktop but it stopped working/loading so I removed it and switched to PyTivo.
