I also need some help figuring this out. I did not know you could only install TiVo Desktop on XP or Vista. I also have Win 98. The nine year old computer works perfectly and just won't quit

Surfing the Internet works fine, watching the occasional video works as well. I just can't justify a $300 upgrade (XP) or a >$1000 upgrade to buy a new computer. The only reasons have been Entertainment (listening to music online, other programs have insisted on XP as well), the TiVo, XM radio also wouldn't let me listen online without XP, and Windows Media past 9.0 cannot run on Win98. I even almost got the shaft because the "EasyGuider" program for installing my router would only run on Win98 SE and above, and I don't have even that. Good thing their customer service is awesome and took care of my install manually.
Anyhoos. I still have Win98, is home networking truly impossible, then?
