I bought TIVO a month ago and as best I can tell it crashed last night. Can anyone tell me the symptoms typically leading to a crash. Not too happy with Mr. TIVO right now....

If it's a month old, call customer service. It's still under warranty and they'll send you a replacement.

Typically a crash is preceeded by stuttering video and rebooting often.

If you bought it from a local store go back and ask for a full refund or a brand new TiVo.

If you call TiVo customer service they'll end up sending you a refurbished replacement, not a brand new unit.

Maybe if you give the current symptoms, the people here can give you some guidance. Is the box totally dead?

Did it crash, or just reboot? Since it was last night, and its a fairly new box, you might have just gotten a software update last night.
