I know this query will seem pretty basic to most of you folks but it's been ages since I've had to fix this problem and I can't now remember what I had to do last time.

Anyway, Tivo now has my channel lineup wrong so for example it thinks E4 is on channel 29 which is actually where Film 4 is. Ended up missing the Sopranos - aaaarrrggghhhh!!!!!

How do I get Tivo to recognise my current Freeview lineup?

Thing that caught me when I set a Netgem i-Player to rescan channels, was that doing that just returned the same user channel numbering that was present before the rescanning.

I had to reset the customised channel numbering (see favourite channels section menu) so that E4 etc could take up their new default positions.

Best check this, if your box has a custom channel numbering facility if nothing seems to have changed.

I used to customise channel numbers in OnDigital days but gave up after realising that every time thy swapped channel number positions you had to rescan the whole box and customise them all over again.

In the end its easier to just learn the channel numbers that Freeview uses.

In my case my previous customisation for the netgem i-Player was not channel renumbering but me marking particular channels as favourite so not to overcrowd netgems EPG and allow convenient remote control channel hopping (same like you'd do on a TiVo)

However, once I'd made those associations, the i-Player stopped allowing broadcaster changes to channel numbers (LCN) on a rescan.

Wasn't me fiddling with the numbers, you see ;-)
