The below is me venting some.

Tivo's guide data is awful. I feel it's been awful since the transition, but it has reached a new level this year. Some are speculating that some things have been automated that weren't before.

At one point, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (cartoon on Disney XD) had the Guardians of the Glades image associated with it.

Episode "World Wide Recorder Concert" of South Park, which is Season 3 Episode 17, is incorrectly labeled as Season 23 Episode 5 "The Brown Noise" in the guide today. And while "The Brown Noise" is apparently an alternative title, if you Explore This Show and go to Episodes, it has "World Wide Recorder Concert" for Season 3 Episode 17. It's mucking up the data.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert had the wrong season for part of September. They eventually fixed it, but still annoying.

One-Punch Man on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network) is still incorrectly labeled as reruns despite it being new to an American/English audience. (At least Naruto: Shippuden has the new label and correct first aired date for an American/English audience.)

I just noticed that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is missing the colon in the show name. If Naruto: Shippuden can have a colon in the show name in the guide, which it does, then I don't see why JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind can't. If I try reporting it, who knows how badly they could mess it up... people who already created a OnePass may have to create another.

I remember when Rovi bought TiVo and everyone started saying how terrible Rovi guide data was and how awful it will be. I thought at the time that people were overreacting. I figured it couldn't really be that bad and even if it was that TiVo would be able to fix it once the merger happened. Now here we are several years later and TiVo still hasn't been able to fix the guide data problems. I guess I had too much faith in TiVo.

Sometimes I have to resort to Wikipedia to figure out which new episodes I need to watch.

Sometimes I'll see rated MA content in the Kids category.
For example, Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma, recorded on the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network last weekend, is rated TV MA S in the upper-left in the actual video feed. While paused, shows as TV-MA in the TiVo Info screen. Yet, it's listed as: Animated, Kids, Comedy, Cooking, Anime.

I think it is more the people making the decisions are from rovi not TiVo. Rovi never cared and still don't

Where does Tivo get its guide data. The guide for Sacramento CA (Comcast) has numerous errors - can't depend on getting the show and/or episode desired
Bad_Rovi produces crap guide data all by themselves - no help needed or wanted from outside entities.

Yeah I have two weird things happening. I'm Comcast in Essex Junction, VT.

Had a hallmark movie record earlier in the week that was not the movie in the guide.

My guide data for Sunday, 10/27 football on CBS (Browns at Pats) is showing as "To be announced".

My guide data for basically all channels from Sat 11/2 8pm thru Sunday 11/3 7pm is all messed up with "To be announced" and things like that.

I have reported this to tivo.com

I wonder if this is what has been the problem in my area. Hopefully it does straighten out today if so:

Transmitter Construction Information: Update for Over-the-Air Antenna WCAX TV Viewers

I am Comcast cable so it should work itself out, assuming Comcast does whatever they need to do properly.

Will I have to rerun setup or anything? Or (again assuming its related to the new antenna thing) will I have to sit and hope everything has been reported properly to Rovi?

The plan is for this project to be complete and for WCAX to return to full power service on Thursday, October 24, on what we have been calling "Rescan Day," because the improvements will require viewers to rescan their TV channels in order to see the new signal. This rescan is a one-time update, and is only necessary if you watch WCAX over the air, using an antenna to pick up the station on your television. If you watch WCAX using a service like cable or a satellite provider, your provider will do this for you; you should not have to take any action.
