Can't find this any place. Can I just stick a 2.5 inch lap top type drive in my TiVo Bolt and it will work with it. You Don't need the OS on the hard drive?

The OS is on a separate SSD hard wired to the mobo so if you swap out the drive it'll offer to format it (up to 3TB I believe) and then act like a new TiVo. But keep in mind this completely wipes the TiVo, all shows, all SPs, all settings, etc...
