Normally TIVO app stays logged in on the two Android devices I use. Today I get the above message when trying to log in. Note that the email address that defines my address with TIVO uses the .NET domain name. Also note that this is not new - I have used this email address with TIVO for 20 years, give or take. I can log in on the TIVO web site using the .NET email address. After getting the error on one of my devices I checked the other. It was still logged in and the app executed normally. After I verified normal execution I signed out on the second device and then started receiving the error message at log in. Is this a known problem?

the log in issue is a recurring nightmare, but i've never associated it with a .net email address (which i use) - i'm able to log in. tivo support will ask you to try a password reset, but in my experience it never works.

they will eventually work it out, but sometimes take weeks - ding them with a one-star review, that appears to grab their attention.

Stuff like this makes me glad I'm a retired programmer and don't deal with it all the time any more. On both Android devices, phone and tablet, after typing a few letters I used the suggested field completion for email, as I've been doing routinely for this and other apps. On a whim I tried TIVO app again and actually typed the entire email address. It worked. On both devices. Just to make sure tried the suggested completion again. Failed with same message again. On both devices. And of course suggested completion works on all other apps.

I think the adding space is probably correct, but there is a separate not on file message that I can produce on demand, something about not found instead of the the enter valid email. My thought was that a well-meaning programmer had added an edit for valid email configuration before checking for record on file that included domain name checks. But failed to check for and discard trailing spaces.
