I have a TiVo Series 2. I want to connect a Time Warner HD Cable Box and a DirecTV HD box. Can this be done with only one IR cable? Is there a way this could be done?

Is this a dual tuner TiVo?

Then, I believe you can use cable (no box) and the satellite.

On the older Series 2s, you can use dual boxes, if one is satellite, and one is connected to the TiVo with with RF. Both can be controlled by IR, since the IR blaster has two emitters.
