Thursday Night Football FOX 4K?

I understand Xfinity and perhaps other cable providers will be broadcasting the Thursday Night Fox NFL games in 4K. For those of us with Tivo, do you know if we will be able to watch the game in 4k. I do not see any special channel when I go through my channel list and am not sure if it is possible or how to go about and watch. I do have a 4k Roku so that is my other option.

The Xfinity 4K page suggests that it requires a certain model of X1 box. I'd guess it's provided over IPTV which I think would require a compatible app on the receiving device (TiVo).

If you have a Roku or Apple TV and the Fox Sports app it might provide the game in 4K.

Comcast may be the wild card so i believe there 4K channels are IPTV.. So the answer is no to watching

Many other providers are using QAM still for there 4K channels and yes you would be able to

There is also several threads on here about all of this
Found this, and it confuses me even more. "Fox Sports is also directly serving a 4K HDR feed to several cable and satellite partners, which will show the game in HLG HDR with a 5.1 surround mix if you have the right box or a newer TiVo with 4K support:"

yeah i just saw that and came here to ask the same thing. Im confused, is it through VOD or a linear channel?
X1 boxes can receive linear channels via IPTV. QAM is also supported and will be served until the legacy boxes are out of the fiekd..

Basically if you have Comcast you cant watch the game in 4K with your Tivo
I found this tidbit in a separate article

Fox will produce the games in 1080p HD HDR, up-converting the production to 4K UHD HDR for viewers with 4K displays and down-converting to 720p for its HD broadcast audience, says Michael Davies, SVP Field & Technical Operations at Fox Sports.

Similar to how we can't watch on demand content with our TiVo.
Perhaps the forthcoming XOD app for TiVo will receive 4K live broadcasts. :)

I don't know, but you've certainly given Xfinity a perfect excuse now for the development delay. ;)
Just trying to interpret why it wasn't a simple rollout the day after the old one stopped working. :)
Didn't my Samsung 4k (2018) have the FOX sports app? It doesn't anymore.
Just added Fox sports to my Roku tv and sure enough. TNF listed in 4k!!

Or most of the sports packages (Mlb, nhl, etc).
