This first episode was okay. Little Simon from 7th Heaven was funny as the werewolf.

I'm meh on the ghost plot. And I'm also annoyed by Bad Stefan, at least until that last scene. That was a real heart-string-tugger.

ack, i missed it! new DVRs/service with DirectTV and forgot it was returning... How long before some place like Hulu has it?

Are these "kids" still supposed to be in high school?

People had better stop hurting Caroline. I'm getting annoyed.

It'd be funny if Klaus somehow turned Matt into a vamp/wolf hybrid. At least he'd finally be interesting.

They show doesn't care about high school anymore, unless there is some dance or event I guess. Wasn't Tyler on a sports team once?

They certainly drink and do drugs all the time.

First things first, WOOHOOO TVD is back!!!!!

Okay now that is out of my system...... WOW Caroline and Tyler. That was pretty racy for CW 8pm television! Then Carol with the vervain gun. WTF. I guess she meant it when she told Liz if she [Liz] didn't take care of things, she [Carol] would. My question is, how is Tyler going to handle this? You best step up for Caroline this time, bub or no more vamp sex for you!

And I don't get the point of Stefan killing whats-her-name. Did Damon really give a crap about her?? He kinda acted like he did. I don't like the role reversal with these two. Damon cares only about select people. I cannot have him caring about the world like Stefan of S1&2. And sorry Stefan, even with vamp face and dripping blood, you don't play the bad guy half as good as Damon/Elijah.

Speaking of... They best not make me wait too many episodes to revive Elijah. We know it's going to happen so let's get to it. Now. Like yesterday.

I don't care about Matt. They will never make me care about Matt. And now I don't care about Jeremy and his ghosts. Even ghost Anna. Even less about ghost Vicki. And yeah Matt, you are surrounded by vamps and wolves but ghosts are where you draw the line of realism? Please just go jump off a bridge now.

Poor Alaric. I feel so bad for him. Where's he gonna go? Stay with his BFF Damon? Yes, please. I love their friendship and all their interactions are fun, even the meaningless ones. Or better yet, give him some vamps to hunt down. I liked him best when he's Alaric the Vampire Hunter with all his cool toys! Storyline please!

I think that's all I have right now. :)

Why was Alaric sleeping on Elena's couch all summer? I'd bet that Castle Salvatore has a zillion unused bedrooms.

Aren't Elena and Jeremy minors? Don't they need legal guardians or something now that Jenna's dead? I think Matt is the only person in the whole town with a parent.

Edit: Answering my own question. This episode was Elena's 18th birthday. I looked it up. Please don't tell anybody.

Yeah, the actor that plays Matt is just such a bad actor... I can't stand that character.

I usually don't care about whiny Jeremy either, but dayum, little brother is growing up and he's kinda hot now!

Well if we are being superficial..........;)
He's been hot since they came back from break last season. Right about the time he forcefully kissed Bonnie. Right there, I paused the TV and had to go look up the actor's age to be sure I wasn't hitting pedophile zones. That kiss was hotness. He's been buff and sexy ever since. Too bad his character is a bore.

Yeah, he was getting buffer and hotter last season but it was even more noticeable in the premiere. Part of it is he's getting super buff, and part of it is that he finally got a decent haircut and tamed his eyebrows. Not that I'm superficial or anything. ;)

His character though... well the only thing he has going for him is that he's not as boring as Matt.

Yeah, and when they pair him with Damon he's much more enjoyable. I know the ghost thing is gonna drag on for awhile too. It's as if that's the best they could come up with to keep the actor doing something. Now maybe they can work on giving Matt Davis something to do too!

Oh and did I mention get Elijah resurrected STAT?

One more thing... is it just me that's completely annoyed with all the Season 3 posters/media now showing Klaus in them. So it's Elena, Stefan, Damon and KLAUS? What about Jeremy or Bonnie or Alaric? Nope, screw you characters/actors that have been with the show since the beginning. We're promoting Klaus instead. UGH.:down:

Too many scenes between Jeremy and Matt. I hope nothing important was said because all I could do was think about which I disliked more...I finally decided I hate them both and just ff through them.

I still hate Stefan. Hate the character and hate the actor. I think if there was a different actor playing him that the character would be more interesting. Unfortunately I don't think they'd ever replace him.

Wonder what momma Mayor is going to do with Caroline?

But Jeremy and Bonnie are so annoying that I don't mind seeing them pushed to the background. Alaric I like, but I don't think they know what to do with him now that Jenna is dead. Too bad, he's great with Damon. Hum, I'm seeing a trend here, everyone is better when in scenes with Damon.:D Klaus is this season's big bad, so not surprised they are promoting him. But I'm with you, bring back Elijah soon!

But they didn't know what to do with him even before that. Face it, last season he was useless in the story for 90% of the time. Season 1 was really the only time he was good for much. I like the actor and the character too so I'm really annoyed they can't come up with something more compelling for him to do.

I haven't really noticed the posters too much, although I do like Klaus. :) I really hope this season we get more info on their whole family.

Why does it always seem like Bonnie is "away" for a while? Wasn't she gone for a while at the beginning of last season, too? And now she's reduced to cheesy cell phone video chat product placements.

I hope they give Alaric something more interesting to do. I always found his whole relationship with Jenna kind of a wishy washy story line. And now he's going to keggers with his high school students. It just seems really weird... give the guy a better purpose and storyline! Also, I don't like his new haircut. :)

I loved when he was possessed by Klaus!

They really need to make him more of a Giles like character (from Buffy). Then there would be a reason to keep him around and be part of the group.

That was the 10% I was referring to. :D

I didn't watch Buffy so can't get that reference. This is the first vamp show I've gotten into.
