First question, do the actors that aren't on screen (ie most of the wives plus ryan this time) get paid no matter what or just in the shows they appear?

That ambassador was a real weeniehead. Dead guy and what, 3 other mistakes and he still didnt get it? I did wonder why they just didnt retrace their steps but then we couldnt have the show i guess. And what made the grass where bob and the hubby/wife/baby went any safer?

Daughter jonas will be interesting to follow if they keep her around but too bad it cant be fast forwarded to where she is her dads boss. Would be fun.

My hand was sweaty and the gun fell out...what a great line.

Was the daughter saying something to the mom at the end the 25 year thing jonas was talking about (saying goodbye) or are they saving that for another day?

Interesting episode... but could we go against tv convention just once and not have the '.. and now you are a better man.' speech after trial and trouble ?

I doubt very much mac would have shaken that guy's hand after almost getting them all killed (and that girl killed)

I agree. Thought that was lame.

Otherwise, I really thought this was one of the best episodes of this series! Having them help extricate a diplomatic staff from a warring county seemed like one of the few truly believable plots so far. Something a bunch of Deltas might actually do. So much of the other things they do don't seem plausible, but this did. Although all the people they were trying to help were idiots, that didn't seem hard to believe of a bunch of diplomatic civilians. Loved how the guy with the wife and baby finally got it after nearly getting them killed.

I didn't even mind the story of Jonas and his daugther. It was much more interesting that the usual wives soap opera storylines.

Looks like the lady who plays Molly lost a LOT of weight in the off-season too. She looks a lot better, but still has a long way to go before she looks like she did as the girlfriend/wife of Samuel L. Jackson from the Negotiator that I just saw recently.

I thought this episode sucked. It was easily the worst episode of the series.

First, I don't believe for a second that even if you were the most disagreeable know-it-all known to man you would argue with the only guys in the world that are going to keep you from getting killed and dragged naked through the streets of some Godforsaken dump of a third world country. (Back me up on this IJustLoveTiVo :) )

Second, why would the experts, like these guys are supposed to be, spend who knows how much time trying to blaze a new trail through a mine field when they could just turn around and retrace their steps knowing that the places where they stepped on the way in are safe?

I didn't mind the Jonas and daughter story because it wasn't as stupid as the main story.

Molly was so worried about Jonas disappearing and not knowing whether he was dead or alive all summer, she probably didn't have much of an appetite. :)

I believe this was the worst episode for this series!! When it was done, I was like.... wow, that was awful, hope they get back on track next week.
I don't understand why the Unit dude in the front didn't just probe, find safe places to put feet, and then have each person walk in the exact footsteps of the person in front of them.

But an episode without Tiffy or Brown's wife is a good episode.

I thought about this too, and the only thing I could think of is that they may have figured that it would have been impossible to retrace everyone's steps exactly and they may have already entered the mine field and just been incredibly lucky to get as far as they had.
