The Shield - SP Error

Well it seems FX has screwed up again. Looking for my recorded episode from 1/24/06, it was not there!!

I checked my SP again (its been working for the past few weeks) and it looked fine. Its set for First-Run-Only. So I had to set a manual record for 1/27 to pick up the missed episode. It also is missing the 1/31/06 episode so I will have to set that as well.

Seems the First Run flag was not set in the program description. Just thought I'd warn all you Shield fans.

I noticed the same thing last night and did the same as yourself.
You will have to delete and re-add your season pass...
The FX identifier has changed from 'FX' to '248 FX'...

If you go into Season Pass Manager you will notice it says
The Shield (FX)

Delete the Pass and re-add with First Run Only and it will schedule this
week's episode on 01/27 and next weeks at the normal time.

Once you re-schedule the season pass, you should see
The Shield (248 FX)
in the Season Pass Manager
Thanks to those who posted in this thread. I noticed this myself this evening. Thought about deleting/re-adding the season pass as (fx) just looked weird. One would think when a channel name/channel is changed, a very simple global replace in the season pass manager (automated) could be done in the background.

Cheers,
Caleb
Aah, that's what happened. Didn't look at the channel designator. Deleted and added a new SP and all is well again.

Thanks!
My Shield episode recorded as normal. No station change as far as I know.

One good thing about the Shield (and most F/X original series) is that they air them many, MANY times during the week (as late as Sunday, I believe). If you miss an episode, you can usually get it later in the week as long as you don't have any conflicts (like, say, Grey's Anatomy on Sunday). If the Closer did this, I'd TiVo it, but it ranks about 3rd or 4th on the list of programs I'd want to watch Tuesdays at 10.
I'm quite sure there have been some changes to channel designations in the past that have left season passes unaffected. However, I can't recall a specific example of this.

On the other hand, this is at least the second time that they have changed something about the FX channel designation that has invalidated all FX season passes.
Had the same problem.. I set it up to record this friday night instead. Will try the delete and re-add.. Too bad it takes forever to do this on the hr10-250, box is slooooooow
I guess this means it will be left up to me to remember to reschedule Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me again once the new season starts 6-9 mo. from now.

Yep. Forgot about those SP's
Thanks for tip, I was wondering what happened to my episode of Shield.
This happens so often with FX that I set up ARWL's to avoid the problem. This happened the last couple of years.

No idea why they keep doing this to FX, and FX only.
I recommend subscribing to the season pass forum then when you go to your user CP, you can at least see the last posting without actually going to the forum. It's low enough volume you can usually catch stuff like the shield thing just in the cp
This happened to me this week, the shield did not record. ARGH! Beginning to wonder if I am going tohave to check them all.

Thanks - that explains it.

Grrr! I new something was up when the channel was listed as "missing" for all FX SPs in the To Do List. I lost 2 eps, too. But then I can't really watch SD anyway, and as much as I love TS, it's still in 4:3. I'm just moving everything from FX straight to DVD anyway, hoping for FX HD in the future, or a HD pickup of the FX shows in rerun at some point. I'll just get those eps on the second run.
