I want Jackson to find his mojo. Mopey Jackson is getting old.

Loved the end “Short sleeves!”

I can see that phrase gaining traction. :D
I actually thought Jackson's thread would go another way. I initially thought the rabbit would have been the distraction to let the worst bad guy to get away, who would have done the bad thing, letting the old guy do a "I told you so".

Nifty-ish cameos by Dever/Huertas. Though I was slightly disappointed they weren't in the same scene to do a little Ryan/Esposito hand-thing they usually do.

And Erik Winter (Bradford) spends a little time at the gym.

I think this was the first episode where I realized that "Smitty" is really that character's last name, not a nickname.

I highly dislike that this season, Nolan is "coincidentally" finding his way to that hospital's ER (what, is that the *only* ER in the area?) literally every week... and "coincidentally," it's always when that doctor is on duty.

(Besides, I still find the relationship stuff on the show to be the weakest part. I honestly don't at all about Nolan's girlfriend *or* his possible thing with the ER doc, and I really don't care about Lopez and her boyfriend, the lawyer. I like the police stuff, that's it.)

Always heading to the same ER does make sense. He patrols a specific part of LA not the whole thing I presume. Wouldn't there be multiple precincts? He would hit the ER closest to their area. There aren't THAT many hospitals that there will be several in one immediate area.

Doctors frequently do 12 hour shifts at the ER. And I think she said she was in charge of that one so I would imagine that she would be there more frequently than that. And nothing says he doesn't go there when she isn't on duty. It's not like they show us every day of their lives on the show. Stuff happens off camera - like buying a house, lawyer moving in.

Yeah, I thought the same.

Also, Nolan allowing the "nurse" to take the patient without checking with the front desk seemed like a rookie move (so to speak).

It just seems that after a full season of absolutely *never* ending up at a hospital (at least that I can recall), for them to suddenly show him ending up at the ER every week doesn't seem at all an organic change. It doesn't feel like a plot-driven change, it feels like a production-driven change. That is, either "We built this new standing set for this season - writers, you're now going to have to figure out how you're going to wedge it in to every episode to make use of it," or "we added Ali Larter as a recurring actress this season - writers, you're going to have to come up with any reason at all that Nolan will end up interacting with her every episode." At least one of those two.
Maybe he's come down with Munchausen Syndrome.

Well, you may be right. With the teaser for the next episode we see (spoiler and speculation)
Nolan gets shot. I'm sure it's in the vest, but they will, of course, send him to the ER where Grace will fawn all over him. Then, his girlfriend won't be reachable for much of his time there, only showing up near the end, to put the kibosh on any new rekindled feelings between Nolan and Grace.

They had several episodes in the first season where they kept going back to one particular hospital - there was that nurse guy that was hitting on one of them I think?

Yeah West. He ended up in a relationship with the guy for a while too. Good memory I forgot about that story line.

Chen may have won the bet, but her girlfriend really tried to screw her by selling her out to Bradford.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
I don't know how Jackson can get away with lying on his official report.
He changed it to say he saw the guy drop the gun, but wouldn't his bodycam have recorded him asking the guy what he did with the gun? And his full conversation would've shown that he had no idea the guy even had a gun until he found the bullets.
Maybe the footage would get "lost".

She did, no trying involved! :p

He didn't. He said he was not that kind of cop and wouldn't lie, which is why they spent all night awake to get the guy another way. (by rolling over the guy Jackson was frisking when the rabbit ran). They just needed to get the rabbit in custody to get a DNA sample.

And the only way to get him back in custody was for Jackson to lie on his report. Gleason had already been released with no charges. They couldn't just randomly pick him up again and get a DNA sample from him.
Something had to be a cause for arrest, and that cause was Jackson's report that he saw him drop the gun.
Then they rolled over the guy to find out where Gleason was hiding.

They found that the gun had been used in a previous murder and used that as the reason to round him up.
