Anyone still watching The Resident? I still like it mainly because the main character is the actor who was on the Good Wife. I also like most of the other characters. However in the last episode (the last one before the fall finale) there was one scene that really pissed me off. This was when the patient who was a princess ended up needing neurosurgery to be performed by the new arrogant Dr. There was a complication and two other Drs had to join the surgery. Then all of a sudden they had a never before seen in their hospital (and I'm 99% sure does not exist at all!) some kind of holographic computer image displayed right over the patient's body and using hand gestures to command it. And one of the gestures commanded it to go away and they then continued with the surgery.

Again I'm sure this does not even exist and up until now all the other hospital procedures were current but well established. This really threw me out of the episode as I never expected them to try to add a science fiction element to the show. I REALLY hope they don't do that again!!!

i've loved this show and the characters from the start, the writing is much better than most broadcast shows currently airing, it's my favorite from last season's premiers.

I thought that scene was pretty far-fetched, but it didn't pee me off or anything. This is the best medical show on now, IMO.
But that's the point. This IS the BEST medical show on right now but it does NOT have to use cheap CGI effects for some technology that doesn't even exist today to be a good show. Just be the good drama that it is and use existing current medical technology. That scene really pulled me out of the episode!!!
