We laughed, we cried. Great ending.

Of course, we were wondering how Pam got through security w/out a ticket.

I expected more.
Last week's episode was a much better farewell episode.

It wasn't bad, but not what I would have expected for his farewell.
I thought it was pretty good. Jim getting teary eyed was a little surprising but sweet.

Funniest line was Michael telling the HR guy he should hide his adam's apple so he look less like a transvestite. :D

She probably had one. Bought it to go through. Then, just get a refund.
I thought the "goodbye" with Kelly was funny. So Kelly.
Let be be a naysayer. I was greatly disappointed.
IT was meh... The story line with Andy and DiAngelo was dumb. I think it took away from Michael saying "good bye"
Disappointed. I expected more. The transvestite line was great...as were Angela's photos with the senator and his "aide"

Exactly.
WTF was up with Andy's pants???
I don't think it was great, but it wasn't too bad. I did like that Michael made an attempt to have a goodbye moment with everybody and he was continually wanting to say goodbye to Pam.

I also don't like DeAngelo much, but the last scene with him and the cake was probably the funniest scene with him so far.
Maybe it's all the 24 and NYPD Blue that I've watched but when Pam was watching Michael's plane taking off, I had this terrible feeling that it was suddenly going to blow up or something.
I don't understand the naysayers here.

I think the attempt here was to have an understated but sweet goodbye for Michael and I thought that it succeeded.

What did you guys want?
Michael being an a$$ to everyone?

"You guys are filming people when they go to the bathroom now?"
I liked it when Michael asked the camera crew to let him know if the show ever airs. Also, the silent "that's what she said" after he handed over the microphone.

The final goodbye between Michael and Pam also reminded me of the scene in the UK version where Tim takes his mic off before telling Dawn how he feels about her.

Shades of Lt. Col. Henry Blake's farewell on M*A*S*H. :)

He wears red pants a lot. It's his style.

I think the Deangelo/ANdy storyline was there to foreshadow things to come.
An appropriate ending. I think the series should have ended right here.

Why would you think that's what we wanted?

I personally hoped it would be much funnier than it was at times, and much more poignant than it was at times. IMO, the only scenes that achieved the latter were Jim's scene and the airport scene. As for the former, the gift giving (Kevin's caricature, Oscar's ragdoll, etc) just wasn't that funny.
I thought it was a nice wrap up for the Michael character.

I liked Toby's brother.."Does he like jam?"

I swear though that Steve Carrel's eyes were bloodshot red for most of the episode kind of like the actor had been tearing up quite a bit during the making of that episode.

But overall it was funny yet sad all at the same time.

Looking forward to seeing who steps in now...I hope it's Spader.
