I felt a little goofy, but I got a tear in the first scene about Aunt Ginny dying. I had totally forgotten that Frances Bay played that part!

I still thoroughly enjoy this show, although it's not my favorite. I look forward to the combo of it and Modern Family every Wednesday.

I thought of you when they were discussing dying in your sleep with Brick.
This show is consistently entertaining.

I liked the bit with Sue telling Mike that Brad said "A boy likes me". Who is the me in this situation? lol.
The whole confusion with 'who is me?' was comedy gold. Why would a boy like him? That doesn't make any sense.

I loved how Axl helped Brick with his project.
We need a crossover episode where Cam and Mitchell visit so Sue can meet her first "out" gay people. Or just an episode where Sue meets an openly gay person.
The dance the wrestling team did must have been the first time anyone has ever publicly acknowledged her existence.
To me this is the most underrated comedy on TV. I think it gets lost in the shuffle because it is really an old fashioned family sitcom, and it's just not "hip" to talk about it because it's not edgy or controversial. It's just well written and entertaining. And also, for an old fashioned comedy, they have realized there's just no need for a laugh track, which just adds to it's awesomeness

The opening scene in the car, to me, was Emmy worthy. The conversation felt so real, and it felt like something MY family would say and talk about. It really showed exactly how you would expect the various characters to react to that situation. It was perfect. And the rest of the episode was funny as well. Brick's project and Sue's confusion over her new bf (and the sexuality of her old one) was funny.

Is it sad that my daughter aspires to be Sue Heck?
We just started watching this a few weeks ago. Enjoy it as much as we do Modern Family too. Sue and Brick crack me up. And the Dad reminds me of Dick Van ****. Great show!

I was really surprised that they got her name right. ;)
I like this show too. Agreed with comment above, it doesn't get much attention but it IS well written with a good cast. One improvement this season is many less scenes of Frankie at work. I like Brian Doyle-Murray but not in that role and I can't stand Chris Kattan. This and Modern Family make me look forward to Wednesdays. They are two of the few shows I make a point to watch the same night they air.
To be honest, lately I've been enjoying The Middle more than Modern Family. It's become one of my favorite shows on TV.
