This show still cracks me up. I love the last episode where the house was a mess. It rung so familiar to us. That's what I like about this show, they seem more like a genuine family than most of the shows these days. While I like Modern Family, I think the family in that show is more "upscale" than most families, so it's a bit harder to '"relate" to the family sometimes. I could always relate to the family in The Middle.

We enjoy it but missed last week's episode when the local affiliate devoted a full half hour to a storm rolling through.

Anybody know why ABC.COM doesn't show episodes of The Middle on their website like they do other shows?

This and Raising Hope are our top shows!

I was sweeping one day and hubby said "So, have figured out where the hidden cameras are?" and I gave him a puzzled look... and he said "You know, the ones the producers of The Middle to put in our house to get story ideas...".

This past one with the messy house was very true - I said something to our kids that would be us if the police ever came by and they insisted our house was not that messy.. :D

I also got flowers on valentine's day because of that show.. Mike was telling Frankie that he had to get her flowers or he would be the only man in America not getting flowers for their wife - and I yelled out "Oh no, hubby would be right there with you.." And surprise - I got flowers for the first time in 23 years.

I cracked up when Axel brought all of his dirty dishes from his room out to get cleaned. That is my boys in a nutshell. There is so much there that just rings true. I think this is probably the most underrated sitcom on TV right now. There's just no buzz, but when I talk to friends and stuff, we always get...oh yeah, we watch The Middle, and we love that show!!

I could be wrong but this forum seems to have ignored "the middle" in favor of Modern family.

There was an unforgettable scene with Sue running in a cross-country race. It focused on mom standing at a fork in the road. Suddenly mom forcibly pushes a runner in the right direction, guess who.
