Great episode.

I loved it from the start with the two bike scout troopers. I noticed Jason Sudeikis was in the credits, and he played one of them. Adam Pally was the other. Didn't recognize his name, and Googled him. 100% recognize the actor from shows like Happy Endings.

Love at the end when Carl Weathers' character says baby Yoda should do the hand wavy magic thing. Then baby Yoda waves hello. :)

Mando finally took his helmet off. That is some pretty powerful healing spray. Mando was good as new in a couple minutes. Who needs force healing when you can just spray down a person? ;)

That was great. The Stormtroopers not being able to hit something 5 feet away from them was funny. Because IG is a droid, they can always find a way to bring him back - or bring back another IG droid with the same voice and personality.

Is Moff Gideon a Sith? They would have to re-write some Star Wars rules for it to be so, but they do that all the time.

OK, one thing doesn't make sense (well, a lot of things don't, but...)

Why is it that IG-11 went into battle carrying the child when his prime directive was to protect him? Doesn't seem like a very good way to take care of the little one...

I think his objective was to protect everyone, including the child, at least this is the only way any of that made sense.

Oh yeah, another great thing about the opening with the two bike scouts. When they tried to shoot that thing on the ground and kept missing. They look at their guns like there is something wrong with the guns. Great joke about how Stormtroopers can shoot at the good guys all day and miss.

Oh yeah, just a thought.

Season 2 will be Mando trying to find baby Yoda's home. I wonder if it will take place immediately after this sesaon? I know baby Yoda grows slowly, but it would be cool if baby Yoda was a little more capable in season 2.

As much as I enjoyed it, there was one thing that just didn't make sense. How did he use the jetpack? I thought the Armorer said he had to complete some trials, and until then it wouldn't listen to him. Is there more to it than just being a jetpack? If this is all explained upriver in other SW canon, sorry. Oh, and how do you use a jetpack with a cape? ;)

On my first watch, I thought they had thrown something hilarious in, but on a rewatch of the scene, maybe? When Mando asked where the BY home world was, the Armorer answered in what I thought was Yoda-speak: "This, you must determine." Upon further review, I think Yoda would say "Determine this, you must". Still made me laugh.

I guess I’m in the minority. I wanted some hint of who the little one is. But nothing. It seemed to be set up for that but it just turned into a very long story that went nowhere other than set a Mandolorian up with a 50 year old baby. Even the bad guy wasn’t defeated.

I’m disappointed. There was no point to the season.

I think we've become so used to shows that have a clearly defined arc for each season, that it just feels weird when it's not there.

I enjoyed it. It provided a little bit of closure for season 1, and set up the initial plot for season 2. It's not (so far) a major Star Wars story. It's a dude that happens to be having his own adventures, in the star wars universe. And I'm fine with that.

(In the same way I consider the recent Star Trek movies not as Star Trek movies, but as "Trek Themed Action Films" - through that lense, they're fine)
