I got into watching a lot of videos on Youtube like two weeks ago about people that are in Antarctica. One guy in particular that has spent two winters at the south pole station. I had the thought if there had ever been serious crime, like a murder. Like the station they are in I assume doesn't have locks, because who the heck is just going to randomly show up there. Of course if one of the people down goes nuts and murders people, that is another thing.
One interesting bit I heard on one of the videos is that only 20% of the people on Antarctica are scientists. You need a lot of support people to have a functioning station down there. Like the one guy's video I watched a lot of did plane refueling during the summer, and worked in like warehouse/supplies during the winter. I think he said there were like 42 people at the south pole station during the winter. Not a lot of people for the many months they are down there. Then again, I'm not sure I've seen 42 people in the last year.
After all that babbling, I will have to check out this show.
